The A.M. Page

When I was taking Electronics Technology back in 1986, my instructor and the director of the Electronics Tech department, Mr. Faulk, an old school communications man, decided to clean out some of the surplus old equipment.  I found myself the owner of an old pre-WWII National rack mount receiver that had once seen duty in the U.S. Navy.  That receiver was my introduction to HF, Shortwave and of course Amateur Radio.

I am currently  running a Modified Heathkit DX-60 with the SB-200 for AM.  The DX-60 has WC3K, Bill (sk) wonderful audio mods applied.  See http://www.amwindow.org/tech/htm/wc3kmods.htm for the details.  It also has a relay ptt added to it for ease of operation as well as keeping the mode switch from wearing out.
